HOW TO COOK – MOZAMBIQUE
Mozambique is Southern Africa’s answer to tropical paradise: with gorgeous beaches, turquoise sea, beautiful islands, and a palm-fringed coastline. And of course, it’s also home to the African Birdseye Chili.
Pil-Pil, Pili-Pili, Piri-Piri or Peri-Peri, say it how you like, one thing is for certain, its Africa’s most famous flavour. It’s a dish so utterly good that it’s hard to imagine South African food culture without it.
Join us for a Mozambican inspired menu featuring flavoursome local dishes that are a tribute to the country's Portugese influence, including Maputo Prawns, piri piri chicken wings, and Rissóis de Camarão - all washed down with either a cold beer and Mozambique's most famous locally brewed rum, Tipo Tinto.
How to Cook Mozambique promises to be a menu of delicious, rustic food that doesn't compromise on flavour.
"Mozambique is a country very close to my heart - my wife and I actually got married on Barra Beach in Inhambane! I look forward to transporting guests to one of my favourite places on earth, through a menu that features spicy Mozambican flavours and fresh seafood. This is one you don't want to miss!" - Matt Manning
